Ending 2012 Truly Blessed!!

I will say that 2012 hasn't been that bad to us.  We started it over in Korea, and are ending it here in Oklahoma.  Who would have ever thought, here, of all places?  Well, the Big man upstairs has a plan for us here, so this is where it's at!  After having my parents here for Thanksgiving, things kinda got a little crazy.  Kids only had a few weeks of school before Christmas vacation, which I must mention is the LONGEST one they ever had.  From December 21-January 7.  Wow.  But, its great being able to all be together for the most of the days.  Aside from friends playing, sleepovers, shopping trips, hospital trips, and SNOW, it's been eventful!

I know I spoke of Tim having stomach pain and issues last blog, but this one we have a reason.  He went in and had x-rays and they founds his gallbladder needing to come out.  So, the BIG day is January 2nd, at 10am.  I have gone to every appointment with him and am so glad because this man, has issues telling the doctors about his health history! When the doctors ask him stuff, he's just like, "no", and I look at him like really?  So, I just tell the docs to ask me from now on about his history, and they will get all they need.  =/  Why are men so stubborn?  So, if you all could say an extra prayer or two for Tim and, well, me mostly because I am a nervous wreck over it.. Lol.  I know they do these types of surgeries all the time, but I still can worry about my Lovey right?  He was told by the surgeon that he will get two weeks convalescent leave, but Tim was like, "I won't need all that!"  JUST TAKE THE DARN LEAVE DAYS TIM!!!!!!  They are free, and are being given to you to heal and relax! You know what he said, "I need to get back out there and hunt!"  Ha!

Speaking of hunting, Tim has taken up this new interest, and has been pretty consistent about going out there and climbing trees or wading in ponds, trying to catch him some Elk, Deer, or Ducks.  Even in the snow.   He has gone everyday this week.  Hasn't shot anything, but keeps trying.  Must say I am proud of his persistence and not gave up yet, but he WILL take that break after surgery.  (Thank God) He tried taking Mason and getting him into it, but it's not going so well.  Tim fired at an Elk with Mason there, and I guess Mason didn't expect the sound of the rifle, and well-he screamed like a little girl!  I wish I could've been there to see that.  Although I would have probably screamed too!!  Still, Tim didn't get anything.

Christmas went wonderfully again.  We discussed the whole deal about "Santa" with the kids about a few months ago, so they understood basically there was no such thing.  It was kind of sad, although Mason figured that Santa was a phony.  Maddie wasn't so sure of the news.  And it was kind of sad because the night before both kids were like, "it doesn't feel like Christmas now that we aren't waiting for Santa."  Ugh, shot to the heart.  They know that Christmas is Jesus's birthday and that this day is really about Him, and the celebration of His birth.  But, they still were a little bummed.  Everyone opened their gifts, including the pups, and then the rest of the day was putting stuff together and away.  (Worst part about things we buy!)

Our traditional Christmas eve presents, Jammies =)

Well, these are just a few.  No need to post everything everyone got.  Oh but wait, the puppies =)

Here are some of the first bits of snow that we got on Christmas day.  Made it feel like we were HOME, on the Northeast somewhere....

We ended up with about 5 inches.  So not bad for Christmas vacation in Oklahoma I suppose.  =)

Ok well I will end this and just wanted to wish EVERYONE a Very Happy New Years, and be safe!!!  I will be blogging in the New Year!!!  Come on 2013!!!!
