Happy New Years, and a GREAT 2013!!!

We didn't do anything special for New Year's Eve.  The kids wanted to stay awake to see the ball drop in NYC, so when 11pm came, we all sat in front of the TV and watched as it happened.  Then I gave all three my hunnies a kiss and was like, "Happy 2013, now time for bed!"  The kids were like, I thought we get to stay up till midnight?  Sorry, we seen the ball drop, it's 2013 on the East Coast, already in other parts of the world too, so it's technically already New Years here too.  Man, getting old stinks...  Can't stay awake past midnight much anymore..  Not like that's a bad thing.

Happy New Year's, from the men of Duck Dynasty

Tim had his gallbladder removed successfully on January 2nd.  We went to the hospital at 1030, his surgery started about 1230, then he was brought to the recovery room about 3.  There was a small issue with one of the gallbladder ducts, a little leakage, and then anesthesia.  When he came out, I was so nervous.  He was pale and groggy, something I never seen before.  So I was of course, asking a bazillion questions about the things to watch for etc, I am sure the doctor was glad to get rid of us.  Then, taking care of the patient at home has been keeping me pretty busy.  Making sure all goes smoothly, and that Tim didn't have to do much but take pain medicine and sleep.  Tomorrow is his follow up appointment and so we are hoping for good news.  That all is clear and that he can return to work and hunting soon, lol.  MEN!!!

Got some great news.  I am officially enrolled in Excelsior University up in Albany NY, they cater to veterans and military a lot better then most schools I been to.  So, I am just waiting on all my transcripts to get there so they can review, and make me a schedule of the credits that I have left to finish my BA.  So excited can't wait.  I know that I am just a tiny bit closer to a degree FINALLY, after doing college classes here and there for the last 10 years.  Yipee! =)

I also started a monthly photo project, where daily you take pictures of certain things that it lists.  It is like the Project 365, just month by month.  So for January, these are the things listed, and these are my shots so far.  Enjoy.

I know I skipped Day 4, have NO IDEA what that one was suppose to be, so oops.  I am doing all the rest though.  =)  Hope everyone is healthy and happy and here's to an AWESOME 2013!!  And to think there are people out there that said the world was ending.....  Dummies!
